Things have already been over for the Dallas Cowboys. With only four wins in their winning column, it’s already decided they are not going anywhere this season. But what’s worse is to keep on losing games. But it’s Jerry Jones’s team we’re talking about. Just when you think things are going downhill for them, they flip the script and do the exact opposite. They might not have a ticket to the playoffs, but by winning a game or two here and there, they make other teams’ road ahead tougher. And that’s exactly what dehydrated Chauncey Golston did on Sunday, November 24.

As they were facing off against the Commanders in the Week 12 game of the season, it seemed like one more trouble had come their way. When  Cowboys DE Chauncey Golston walked off the field in the first quarter of the game. At that time, it was reported that his return to the field was questionable. The Commanders at that time were leading 3-0. The DE went off the field dehydrated but came back supercharged and changed the entire scenario with his guys.

Not only did Golston return to the field supercharged, he also scored his career’s first interception, snatching the ball away from Washington running back Brian Robinson. The Cowboys were already in trouble with key players sidelined. Their defense looked shakier than ever with Jake Ferguson, Zack Martin, and Trevon Diggs out. The Commanders seemed to have the upper hand. They didn’t have any key players missing due to injuries, and they were playing at home. But even with those advantages, they still lost. Fans had high hopes for Dan Quinn‘s squad and QB Jayden Daniels but sometimes hope can be a letdown. NFL fans at this point should do themselves a favor and just stop expecting anything from anyone.

Despite leading the game, and Jayden Daniels scoring two touchdowns the Commanders couldn’t pull off a win. Seems like something’s off with the team, even though they’ve got pretty good players.

Jerry Jones must be laughing in the corner.

Can the Commanders make it to the playoffs?

A lot went wrong for the Commanders in the week 12 game. They didn’t perform like a solid, tough team. One of the reasons they lost this game, as well as the last two, was players making mistakes and misjudgments here and there. Austin Seibert missed extra points, Golston picked off a pass from Jayden Daniels, and a missed assignment by Jeremy Reaves resulted in a touchdown on the kickoff return.

These blunders show that the Commanders have been struggling with consistency this season. If you want to make it in this league, you can’t be making those kinds of mistakes. With all this inconsistency, their playoff hopes remain uncertain. The defense has been struggling. Looks like they just got lucky winning all those games. Dann Quinn still has a lot of work to do.

The Commanders are sitting in second place with a 7-5 record in their division. The Cowboys and Giants? Yeah, they’re out of the race now. But the Cowboys still managed to take them down. If they can’t even win against them, how will they fare against the Eagles when they face them on December 22? They’ve already lost to them in the week 11 matchup. The road ahead looks bumpy for them.

With Golston out, is the Cowboys' defense doomed to crumble even further this season?
