Brock Purdy has great faith in God! The NFL QB, who recently reflected on his sentiments on the challenging season with the 49ers seems optimistic. Despite facing three consecutive defeats, the 49ers  QB is moving forward with a positive mindset for the next games. And, this is because of his religious faith and cultural background. Probably it helped him solidify his status in the league.

Since the 49ers drafted him as the final pick in the 2022 NFL draft, he continued to showcase his dominance in the field. It featured the QB as a volunteer of the Christian humanitarian aid organization, ‘Samaritan’s Purse.‘ The latest image also highlighted some quotes that demonstrate his faith in the Lord, as she mentioned “Helping in Jesus’ name,” and “Disaster relief,” in her post.

Not only this but below Purdy’s picture, they also mentioned the name of the philanthropic aid organization “Samaritan’s Purse International Relief.” Moreover, the same post also features Purdy’s name, his team, and his position. Apart from that, they also mentioned, “49ers on our cleats.” It truly showcases the NFL standout QB’s Christian faith.

Adding to this, his mom highlighted his faith in Jesus. But, the 49ers QB himself stated that his faith stems from his parents. Earlier this year, his candid discussion with 49ers legend Steve Young went viral on YouTube. The 49ers uploaded this conversation to their YouTube page. “The night before games, we always call. We pray together,” he continued. “My dad’s nervous. He’s always praying. He says the whole game he’s just praying the whole time,” he further added.

Not only this. In October 2023, when he notched the win against the Cowboys in that season, he garnered significant acclaim for putting faith in God. CEO of Samaritan’s Purse Rev., Franklin Graham adored the former Iowa State standout player for his religious faith.

“They’re now just one game away from the Super Bowl! In addition to being a super talented football player, I love the fact that Brock Purdy is so open about his faith in Jesus Christ,” he had penned down in his FB post.

During that time, Purdy garnered attention for addressing him as a “faith-based guy,”. “It’s been football, man,” he continued, “I don’t try to make it more than it is. I’m a faith-based guy, so that’s how I stay grounded. I don’t look at football like it’s literally everything. It’s (not) do or die or anything like that,” he further stated.

Earlier many times, Brock Purdy’s faith in the lord was hyped. When he was at Iowa State, he made waves for his unique upbringing by focusing on God. He had revealed that his upbringing taught him to prioritize God over his athletic ability and promising football future. “Whatever I’m doing, I know what my purpose is, and that’s in the Lord. That’s what my identity is in,” he had remarked before the Super Bowl in February.

Besides this, during last season’s December game against the Dolphins, he revealed his faith in God after being thrust into fame.“You go out there, you prepare as best you can, you get better every single day at practice, and once you get your opportunity, it’s ‘What are you going to do with it?’ For me, I believe in the Lord, and I trust in Him. I just go out there, and I just play,” he asserted. Indeed, his faith has given him the requisite push, time and again, to move forward and fulfill both his dreams and responsibilities.
