After Cleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson injured his shoulder in the game against the Tennessee Titans, fans were collectively sighing. The rotator cuff strain that he sustained during the game came back to haunt him in the Indianapolis Colts game when he fell on his shoulder. He had missed three games entirely and just played 12 snaps of the Colts game. When he walked off the field, he had just completed 1 of 5 passes for a paltry 5 yards and 1 interception.
PJ Walker had replaced Deshaun in the last 3 games. Now, it seems Browns fans might have a reason to smile. The injury report on Thursday brought news for Browns fans which was later confirmed by Head Coach Kevin Stefanski.

Deshaun Watson surprises fans with quick recovery
Mary Kay Cabot took to X to share Deshaun’s injury update. “#Browns Deshaun Watson took all the first team reps in the part of practice open to the media Friday and certainly looks likes he’s starting Sunday vs the #Cardinals”. Media personnel that were scouting the Browns practice field stated that his passes were tight, on target, and were thrown with his usual velocity. However, we just hope he isn’t rushing into things.

Watson has played less than half of the games since being acquired by Cleveland on a hefty $230 million contract. He admitted that he made a mistake rushing into the Colts game, where he injured his throwing shoulder again. Fans are hoping they don’t get to see it repeat in the Arizona Cardinals game.
The Browns QB might be back in the game, but many of his teammates are not so lucky, with the Browns camp being littered with injuries. Agreed, they are 1-7 Cardinals, but they are in a much better position, injury-wise.

Dark clouds over Browns camp, as several players down with injuries
The Cleveland Browns have a staggering 18 players on their Thursday injury list. 4 of them did not participate at all in the practice session while 10 were in limited participation. 3 of the Browns’ wide receivers were either in limited participation or skipped practice altogether. This does not bode too well for the Browns as Deshaun might not be able to make long throws because of his injury.

Over at the Cardinals camp, Kyler Murray (knee) didn’t have a status listed on the injury report. He is the only prominent name to stand out in the 7-player report. He is still on the reserve/PUP list. This entails that the Cardinals will either have to activate him or push practice squad QB Jeff Driskel to have another QB besides Clayton Tune on the active roster for Sunday. The Browns will face the Cardinals on November 5, at the Cleveland Browns Stadium with kick-off at 1 p.m. ET.
