Remember the painful exit of Aaron Rodgers in his much-anticipated debut game with the New York Jets? After him being carted off the field, some other quarterbacks tore their Achilles in gruesome injuries, including the latest Vikings QB Kirk Cousins. Now, another NFL player’s season is likely finished.

The Vikes, once again, have landed in trouble. This time, the Minnesota Vikings’ running back is under scrutiny. The news of his injury has become even more disturbing for the team, as another player is likely to be seen exiting this season.

After the Vikings QB Kirk Cousins, the team feared running back Cam Akers “tore his Achilles during the #Falcons game.” While playing against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Akers, who was drafted to the Vikings this season, was tackled awkwardly in the third quarter after making a catch. He was unable to put weight on his left leg and was subsequently carted off the field.

Initially, the injury was thought to be of the ankle. However, according to the Vikes’ head coach, Kevin O’Connell, the team now believes that Akers has suffered a torn Achilles. If he has suffered an Achilles tear this time, it would be the second tear for Akers in his NFL career. Earlier in 2021, before the season, during the training camp, Akers tore his right Achilles but made a speedy recovery and appeared in the regular season, playing in all four playoff games for the Los Angeles Rams during their Super Bowl run.

Akers had rushed for 25 yards and made three catches for 13 yards before getting injured. Now, Vikings fans are praying for his speedy recovery as the team’s QB is also facing the same challenges.

Kirk Cousins became the latest QB to suffer an Achilles tear!

The Vikings QB Kirk Cousins became the latest quarterback to suffer an Achilles tear, following quarterbacks Aaron Rodgers, J.K. Dobbins, and Tre’Davious White. Like them, Cousins too might have to miss the season, which would be a big blow to the Vikings.

Cousins tore his right Achilles tendon last Sunday while playing against the Green Bay Packers. He underwent a successful surgery this week at Twin Cities Orthopedics in Eagan, Minnesota. Fans now await his return, like they are waiting for the New York Jets’ warehouse Aaron Rodgers.
