In the first 3 games of the 2024 season, Saints‘ running back Alvin Kamara was a rockstar. But the heavy workload took a toll on him. He is dealing with ribs and hip pointer injuries. During the games, many other Saints players have injured themselves. Many players might not be fully fit for the game against the Atlanta Falcons. We have an update.

He left the field in the 4th quarter. While the RB didn’t practice on the 25th of September, Nick Underhill reported that Kamara will try to play this week and might make it to the SNF game against the Atlanta Falcons. If that happens, that would be great.

Another key player, Demario Davis, sustained a groin injury in the 4th quarter. Although he was present at the practice session wearing the jersey, he didn’t practice. Head Coach Nick Allen talked with him. That must have changed his mind.

On the 25th of September, center Erik McCoy underwent surgery to treat his injured groin. Hence, he was absent from the practice. Guard Cesar Ruiz and Cornerback Alontae Taylor also opted out of practice because of injuries.

Amidst all these injuries piling up, the Saints‘ medical team has to remain alert. The season is in its initial stages. It is a long road.

Few Saints players had a limited practice before Falcons game

Linebacker D’Marco Jackson missed the first three games of 2024 because of a calf injury. Good news. He has returned to practice and did limited practice with his teammates.

Defensive lineman Khalen Saunders also sustained a calf injury during the offseason. But he is also back in the fold now. He was seen practicing with the team.

Landon Young, Saint’s offensive lineman, who hasn’t played a single game in 2024, is set to return from a foot injury. Hence, the team might be looking for the comeback of these players to replace their injured players.

The Saints have a 1-2 win-loss record till now in 2024. A win against the Falcons will give them the necessary push. Stay tuned! There will be a twist and turn every day.
