Jerry Jones 'tickled to death'—Is this the Cowboys' year to dominate the NFL?

Dallas Cowboys week 4 matchup against the New York Giants was the 125th encounter between both teams. The America’s Team won the last 12 games. Today they extended their streak to 13. It was a close contest. Cowboys remained ahead of the rivals at the end of all 4 quarters and managed a 20-15 win. Cowboys owner and GM, Jerry Jones, gave his insights into the game. And it surprised everyone.

After winning the game against the Giants, Jones praised the rival QB Daniel Jones on 105.3 The FAN and said, “I was very impressed with the Giants. I thought their quarterback was better than I thought he was. They were a tough matchup. I was impressed. I thought we did a heck of a job defending their run. I’m tickled to death.”

Giants QB played well against Cowboys, made 29 out of 40 passes (72.5% completion rate) with 281 yards and 1 interception. He even made a Hail Mary attempt in the last seconds of the game but couldn’t do a miracle. But he failed to lead his team to a win. After 4 games, the Giants sit at a 1-3 win-loss record.

On the other hand, Dak Prescott, whom Jerry Jones made the highest-paid quarterback in the league, won the game for his team. He was way better in all aspects. Cowboys QB had 22 of 27 passes (81.5% completion rate) with 221 yards and 2 touchdowns. With this much-required win, they now have a 2-2 win-loss record in 4 games.

There are only 2 options. Though Jones is happy with the win, he doesn’t want to inflate the locker room ego or he is impressed.

Have an interesting take?

In 4 games this year, Daniel Jones has made 91 of 144 passes (63.2% completion rate) with 881 passing yards and 4 touchdowns. Fans have mixed reactions to his performance, with some claiming that he needs better wide receivers while some argue that he is not a winning signal caller. But when the owner of the NFL’s (and the world’s) biggest franchise praises you, everyone is forced to take notice.

After Jerry Jones, Giants HC Brian Daboll also praised Jones and said, “I thought the quarterback played well, made a lot of good decisions, throws. We couldn’t get our run game going. We kind of controlled the game in the passing game, but we didn’t do enough in the running game.” But an analyst believes that the QB isn’t as good as he seems.

While discussing the Cowboys matchup, Colin Cowherd said that it was Malik Nabers whose spot-on rushing game made Jones look good. In the week 4 game, the rookie WR had 12 of 15 passes with 115 yards before injuring himself. He is now diagnosed with a concussion.

Will Jerry Jones and Brian Daboll’s praise inspire Jerry Jones to win games for his team? It’s high time. They are slipping up. Stay tuned! We’ll bring more of such stories.
