In a recent episode of the Herd w/Colin Cowherd, journalist and host of the Friday’s show, Jason McIntyre, was joined by former Rams WR Torry Holt. During the discussion, Holt pointed out that the minicamp is where the foundation for the season is laid, with coaches setting the team’s direction. He expressed his disappointment saying, “This is totally for me unacceptable. Aaron Rogers already knows that the pressure is on but the message that I think that it’s sending to your teammates is that I’m still a little bit above everyone.”

McIntyre asked Holt if he is able to recall any moment when his quarterback was not present at the mandatory camps due to some reason or the other. To which, the Rams’ legend straightaway shook his head no. Holt, reflecting on his own NFL career, expressed concern and disappointment about Rodgers’ absence.

He emphasized that during his time no key player, especially the QB, missed such a crucial part of the preparation. Holt acknowledged, “I get it, he’s a fantastic player, fantastic leader. It was something family driven, we haven’t really heard, that’s the only way I’m missing Camp, that’s the only way that I am missing camp with the expectations that are on the Jets and winning championships….they revamp their offensive line” for Rodgers.

Recalling his past experience, Holt mentioned that the only time he missed training was during a contract holdout, which still troubled him deeply. Additionally, the 48-year-old criticized the Jets’ management for allowing this to happen. In conclusion, he stressed the importance of unity and commitment to pursuing a championship, expressing bafflement at Rodgers’ decision to skip such an important team event.

Meanwhile, the Jets quarterback is back on American soil and was seen throwing passes to the Bills’ wideout.
