The New York Jets are coming off of one of their worst games this entire season. On Black Friday, they met with a 34-13 blowout loss to the Miami Dolphins. And Garrett Wilson is not used to losing. He is a second-year wide receiver, who during his college days with Ohio State, had lost only four times. But ever since signing with the Jets, losses have become more common than victories.

After the Dolphins game, he expressed his anger and resentment at his team’s score worsening to 4-7 after the Miami disaster. While speaking to reporters, his despair was very evident in the words he chose to describe his feelings.

Dov Kleiman took to X to share Wilson’s reaction post the game. “I don’t know what to tell Ya’ll. I don’t know what to tell the fans. I’m out of words. I’m out.” Wilson sounds like an athlete who has given up. And can we really blame him? The Jets are now experiencing yet another losing season after a season full of promise and after signing 4x NFL MVP, Aaron Rodgers

Breece Hall, the Jets RB, also expressed his frustration by blaming himself in part for the Jets’ lack of offensive prowess thus far this season. “I’m just trying to press and make the play every time I get a ball and that’s not good,” said Hall. “Then that causes little mistakes. I’ve been making mistakes that I’ve never made in my career, so it’s frustrating, bro.”

The past is in the past. Jets fans want to know if they should store their jerseys for the next season and hope that Rodgers will be back to lead them next year.

Can Garrett Wilson and Co. bounce back from their last game?

If Aaron Rodgers hadn’t had the catastrophic Achilles injury during New York’s opening play of the season, things would have panned out much differently. Even though the Jets have seen numerous setbacks since then, if A-Rod was fit to play, they probably wouldn’t be in their current situation.

It appeared unlikely that Rodgers would play again this season after his injury in September, but it looks like he could be getting close. According to the indications that he has given, Rodgers might return before the playoffs. Or worst-case scenario, the following season he will provide the Jets with a quarterback who will go on to become a Hall of Famer..

The Jets still have 6 games left in the season to address the issues that have beset them thus far. No matter how good or bad things go in the final 6 weeks of the season, Wilson will continue to give his team and their patient fan base his all. But will it be enough? The New York Jets’ next game is scheduled for December 3 against the Atlanta Falcons.
