Is Russell Wilson joining the Raiders? Ever since Pete Carroll made his head coaching comeback with the Raiders, rumors about Wilson joining forces with him have been flying. The veteran QB with the Steelers hasn’t exactly had what you’d call a “successful career” lately, so everyone was wondering if the Steelers might look elsewhere for their QB. And if they do, what would that mean for Russ? Maybe he could reunite with Coach Pete. The duo won Super Bowl XLVIII together, after all. The veteran QB is excited that Coach Pete is back in the game, but him leaving the Steelers?

The Raiders have garnered widespread attention by signing Pete Carroll as their head coach. Coach Pete is all about getting the team back into the competition, and his statements from the introductory press conference have been making headlines. Everyone’s eager to see if he can reignite the spark in Tom Brady‘s Raiders. Former Seahawks QB, Russell Wilson, is excited too. “He’s great, he’s awesome, and he brings a lot of energy to practices. Coach Carroll has won a lot and has a lot of football knowledge, so I’m excited to see what happens.” Russ isn’t the only one happy about Coach Carroll making a comeback.

Miami Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill is also pumped to see him back in action. Oh, Pete Carroll is the head coach of the Raiders? I ain’t gonna lie, when I was in college, bruh when I was being recruited, that’s who I wanted to go play for,” said Reek during his video game livestream.

It looks like all these players have been fanboying over Pete Carroll for a while now.

Will Russell Wilson join the Raiders?

The answer we have all been looking for, and the veteran QB has come up with that himself. And the answer is no. Russell Wilson won’t be joining Tom Brady‘s franchise despite all the rumors that have been circulating. Good news for Steelers fans? Maybe or maybe not. The Steelers fans are done with not getting their hands on the Lombardi Trophy. They have been wanting to watch Justin Fields as the starting QB. But Russ has made it clear he is ‘focused’ on the Steelers. “I’m looking forward to hopefully going back to the Steelers, and we’ll see what happens with the rest. I love it in Pittsburgh.” He seems committed.

Russell Wilson staying with the Steelers—Is loyalty more important than reuniting with a legendary coach?

Have an interesting take?

So, does that mean Wilson will be the starting QB for the next season too? Well, we do not have an answer to that yet. The Super Bowl champ couldn’t impress the Steelers fans with his stats this season. The injuries could be blamed a bit here. Wilson missed his first six weeks following a calf injury during practice. He wrapped up his season with 2,482 yards and only 16 TDs to his name. Not the Russ we know. But maybe cut the QB a little slack?

I’ve been fortunate to play for 13-plus years, and I’ve got a lot more ball left in me. I think staying healthy is always the thing. You’ve got to be healthy to play your best, and I feel great right now,” said Wilson during his Pro Bowl appearance. Wilson, a pending free agent, wants to continue with the Steelers. But we don’t know if the team feels the same way. “Pete’s going to be a great coach, obviously. He’s great at what he does. But I’m focused on the Steelers,” added the QB.

Despite all fanboying and commitment statements, the QB situation for both the Steelers and Raiders remains uncertain.
