Travis Kelce is not one to shy away from admitting his mistakes. And in the Chiefs vs. Bills game, he had made a big one. Although the Chiefs ended up winning that game, they very well could not have. That one mishap could’ve cost them the entire game. And by extension the entire season as they would’ve failed to advance to the AFC Championship game.
So what was this big mess-up that made Kelce apologize so profusely? But before that, did he just offer a new car to Hardman to make amends?

The latest episode of the New Heights podcast got too real. For starters, Jason Kelce shed light on his shirt-ripping celebration which went viral on the Internet. He showed his vulnerable side and admitted that the season had gotten to him. They had such an amazing 10-1 start, then messed up in the later part of the season. Then the spotlight shifted to the younger Kelce.

“Dude, I’m not gonna lie man. I owe Mecole a f*****g a new car, something. I owe so much to him,” Kelce said. It was because of him that Hardman was subjected to so much criticism online. Then began his apology. “I told him, I apologize to him every single time I f*****g saw him today and I’ll apologize again.”
So, what exactly had happened on the gridiron?

The ball was in the Chiefs court. And the squad was really close to sealing the victory for themselves. The ball was at the three-yard line. Moreover, it was just the first down! The wideout caught the ball which was thrown toward him then began his run toward the end zone. Kelce had been blocking Safety Jordan Poyer, but he freed himself from his block. And then disaster struck! Poyer went straight for the ball and sent it flying out of the end zone.
The ball landed in the Bills’ hands who raced in the opposite direction. It ended in a field goal attempt. The Chiefs were nervous. A score would’ve tied the score and sent the game into overtime. Right now, the Chiefs were leading 24-27. But luckily for the Chiefs, kicker Tyler Bass missed the goal! Nevertheless, the Internet saw it as Hardman’s fault and trolled him mercilessly online. That probably explains why Kelce was so apologetic.
