It’s crazy how quickly things can change in the NFL. The Chiefs were on top of the world for the past few years, but that Super Bowl loss to the Eagles has really shaken things up. Suddenly, a lot of key players are facing uncertain futures, and the Chiefs are left figuring out what comes next. One of those players is defensive end Charles Omenihu, who might be moving on after just a short stint with the team. What’s interesting, though, is which team Omenihu wants to join.
Well, the defensive end played just 6 games for the franchise this season, and many (including him) believe his time with them has come to an end. The question is where could he go? Well, if it is up to Omenihu, he would want to join Jalen Hurts and the Eagles. Well, interesting right? Recently Omenihu was asked if the money was even, which team would he choose to play for the Eagles or the Texans? And well, the Chiefs’ DE chose the team that defeated them at the Super Bowl. Choosing between the two teams, he said, “Wow, can I plead the fifth? Yeah, I ain’t gonna lie, I’d play for Philly.”
If the money was even, which would Charles Omenihu rather play for… the team that just beat him in the SB OR his ex-team in Houston??? 😬

Well, Omenhiu spent three seasons with the Texans, and honestly, it’s kind of fascinating that he didn’t choose to go back to them. The Texans have been on a roll lately, making it to the divisional playoffs for the last couple of seasons. They’ve established themselves as the top team in the AFC South division, and it seems like they’ll be a strong contender to lead the chart in 2025. If Omenhiu does decide to reunite with his old team, he can probably count on making it to at least the playoffs again.
But, you know, the allure of joining the Eagles will obviously be there. They’re the reigning Super Bowl champions and have definitely shown they’re the best in the league right now. It’s no surprise that a lot of players would love to join their ranks for the upcoming season. The big question is, do the Eagles even need anyone? They’ve got some changes to make, just like any team, but bringing in Omenhiu doesn’t seem to be on their list. With their solid defensive line, led by Jalen Carter and Zack Baun, it looks pretty tough for Omenhiu to get a spot on their roster.
While it’s unsure what 2025 has in store for Omenihu, he did share some thoughts about his teammates’ futures, which adds a little intrigue to the whole situation!

Charles Omenihu reveals what Patrick Mahomes will do
The centerpiece of all the success that the Chiefs have gotten is undoubtedly Patrick Mahomes. The star QB came in clutch game after game and helped the Chiefs become so dominant. Mahomes has time and again shown how he thinks like a champion and has the mentality of the same. This, though, brings up a question, what does a person like this do after such a loss? It was a night to forget for Mahomes when he faced the Eagles in the finale as he was sacked 6 times during the game.
Well, how does he bounce back from this? According to Omenihu, Mahomes will be on a revenge tour. Talking about how the QB is going to be for the next 10 months, he said, “On a revenge tour, I think just extreme focus, taking even more control of the organization.” He continued, ” I think he is going to be big time on like, he probably felt like he didn’t have his best performance and him being who he is and being the best QB in the league, he wants to come back and you know have one of those big seasons. So I think hell be somebody on a mission for sure.”
