Things haven’t been the same for the Dallas Cowboys ever since they lost to the San Francisco 49ers. The constant hate and the slander that Dak Prescott and Jerry Jones are getting is off the chains. After the San Fran game, Micah Parsons mentioned how the 49ers made it ‘personal’, which George Kittle and Deebo Samuel took further by berating Parsons even more.

The trade season is in full swing, and the Cowboys seem to be unbothered, or one would think so. Especially after Jerry Jones declined Howie Roseman and got the internet and the NFL pundits talking. With all the negative attention that the Cowboys are getting, Parsons wanted to clear the air before the next LA Rams game.

Parsons recently came out to the media and poured his heart out in a conversation focused on his self-improvement journey. He mentions how staying ‘consistent’ is paramount and that everybody is trying to take them (Cowboys) out of the game. Maybe it has to do with the quality of the games that people want to kick out sub-par teams earlier. Parsons said that he’s ready to ‘risk it all’. Parsons is now inclined to make ‘big plays’ and be ‘dynamic’.

Parsons says that he needs to create more plays and opportunities for himself in the future. Though the Cowboys’ defense is considered elite, Parsons is committed to taking it one step further and is willing to offer anything he can to take the Cowboys to the Super Bowl this year. The Cowboys currently rank 2 in the NFC East and the outcome of the next game will decide their future for this season.

“If I could go out there and have 50 sacks, I wish I could. … You just got to keep going no matter what,” said the linebacker ambitiously. Regardless of this ambition, Parsons was taken lightly by 49ers’ George Kittle and Deebo Samuel.

The bumpy road for the Cowboys

Parsons is known to ignite friendly beef with other athletes in the league. Sometime earlier, he responded to Tyreek Hill ahead of the Christmas game, saying that he would gift a ‘cheetah print’ to his baby mama. Although this was just a light-hearted banter against the Dolphins’ WR, the 49ers took it one step further when Deebo Samuel mentioned that ‘it was always personal,’.

This reply from Samuel was in response to Parsons indicating that the next Niners vs. the Cowboys game will be different. Samuel mentioned that the Cowboys might not even see the Niners again this season. Ever since then, maybe Parsons has been on a self-reflection cycle and is motivated to do better. As expected from a true Cowboy.

The next game might seal Cowboys’ fate for the 2023 season. It’s crucial for the Cowboys to make it to the NFC championship because they haven’t won a championship in at least two decades. Adding on to this is the stickler nature of Jerry Jones, who is refusing to answer the media and make any changes to the roster. May his unyielding trust in Dak Prescott lead the Cowboys to a championship game.
