The New York Giants started the season abysmally going 2-8. Then their QB1 Daniel Jones got injured, along with the backup QB, so third-string QB DeVito was given the starter role. He flipped the script on its head, taking the Giants to a 3-game winning streak and an outside chance to the playoffs now.

Stellato emphasizes the importance of hard work and the mindset that DeVito possesses in achieving this success. On the Pat McAfee Show, Stellato said, “I love the underdog and the blue-collar guy because that’s how I was raised”. This underdog, blue-collar, and Italian-American mindset has taken both to new heights.

DeVito has been on a roller coaster ride this season

At the beginning of the year, Tommy DeVito wanted to play one more season for his college in Illinois. But the NCAA denied his request. He then participated in the 2023 NFL Draft but went undrafted. Though the New York Giants signed ‘Cutlets’ soon after the draft, his struggles weren’t over.
