The extravaganza has been raising temperatures beyond the country since last month. After rocking Mexico and Argentina, the pop icon made her way to Brazil just a week ago. But the demise of a Swift fan has grabbed the attention.

Ana Clara Benevides Machado lost her life during Swift’s concert at the Nilton Santos Olympic Stadium in Rio. The cause of death is still unknown, and further investigations into the matter will take place. Still, recent rumors have suggested that the authorities’ negligence led to the unforeseen incident. Allegations have come from many quarters.

The one thing that caught the headlines was that the fans were not allowed to take necessities like water inside the stadium. Now, the father of the girl who lost her life has stepped forward. A Taylor Swift fan page shared the update in a recent post.

The enraged father’s statement showed a sense of grief as he said: “I lost my only daughter… She was about to graduate in Psychology in April, saving money. I have no words to express my pain. She left home to fulfill a dream and came back dead.” The father is now hell-bent on bringing the authorities concerned to justice.

Revelers were not allowed to carry water, though Rio has been experiencing soaring temperatures and frequent heatwaves. The crestfallen father said: “Nothing will bring my daughter back, but I hope that, if negligence is confirmed, someone will be punished so that this doesn’t happen to anyone else.” While the negligence should not go unnoticed for sure, the news could mean that Swift will not be able to make it to Kansas in time!

The Eras Tour is postponed, and the Arrowhead must wait a little longer

The Eras Tour has now been delayed for a day, and the last leg in Rio will take place on Monday. Swift won’t be able to reach Kansas City to support the Chiefs as Travis Kelce gets ready to face his brother again.
