Jason Kelce's new cereal venture with Travis—Genius move or just another celebrity cash grab?

Jason Kelce ain’t letting the cereal police rain on his parade! The retired Eagles center fired back at critics who slammed his new cereal venture, Kelce Mix, with brother Travis Kelce

It all started when the co-founder of TruMed, Calley Means, took aim at the Kelce brothers for promoting a product they claimed was bad for kids. Means dropped a tweet, blasting Jason Kelce for previously criticizing Reese’s Puffs only to later accept money to endorse the same brand.

But Kelce wasn’t having it. “I appreciate your concern that this is your work and you’re raising awareness for something very serious in our food intake,” he tweeted back. “We’ve talked about consuming [cereal]. That being said, I have no problem endorsing a product my kids and I have consumed.”

The ex-Eagles’ star center went on to explain that he’s aware of the importance of a healthy diet and that his kids eat plenty of fruits and veggies. But he also believes in enjoying life’s little treats, like cereal. “It’s okay to have these products in moderation. I preach an overall healthy lifestyle, but one that enjoys all these things at times,” Kelce added.

While some critics were skeptical about the Kelce bros’ new cereal venture, Jason Kelce ain’t letting this breakfast battle dampen his spirits or health.

Jason Kelce gives major health updates: 20 pounds down

The retired Eagles center has shed nearly 20 pounds since hanging up his cleats last March, and he’s not done yet. “I’m 20 pounds down right now,” Kelce told GQ. “My back and knees already feel better.” He also revealed that he weighed 295 pounds for the majority of his NFL career.

The real motivation behind Kelce’s weight loss journey, though? His kids—Wyatt (4), Elliotte (3), and Bennett (1). The dad of three wants to be more than just a towering figure in their lives. He wants to play, run, and tumble with his little ones without feeling the strain.

Kelce’s approach to shedding pounds is as straightforward as his on-field style: calories in, calories out. No fancy diets, just good old-fashioned common sense. He’s swapped out game-day grub for something a little lighter, and it’s working. The big guy’s now in the low 280s—quite a shift from his playing weight.

After grinding through those NFL seasons, Jason Kelce’s all about prioritizing his health and family now. While he might not be after a Super Bowl ring anymore, he’s definitely winning at life!
