Brock Purdy holds himself responsible for the Week 16 outcome! The Ravens roared high, leading to their jaw-dropping victory over the 49ers this Christmas. This showdown is probably one of the worst performances by the team. With this, they might have disrupted the MVP conversation surrounding the young quarterback.

The San Francisco 49ers could not secure the NFC’s top seed this season. Things worsened when Purdy suffered a stinger in the second half, leading to a 33-19 loss. Although it was a learning experience for him, he understood where to control his aggression, which he would apply to the upcoming clash against the Commanders this New Year. Nonetheless, what is shocking is that the young quarterback continues to believe that his shoulder was the cause of the loss.

Is Purdy responsible for the defeat?

In his recent public appearance after his injury, he showed disregard for his performance. He said, “I feel like our game plan was good just in terms of what we wanted to get done. Um, it was just the execution part of it that I felt like I didn’t do enough work, and you know, I think our mindset and everything going into it were good, but I fell short in terms of making it happen.”

However, Purdy confirmed he can now perform in the matchup against the Commanders in Week 17 at the FedExField on December 31. He has been under treatment. There is still some soreness left in his shoulder, which he believed would cure until the next showdown began. Purdy ended up throwing a career-high interception during the game. Surprisingly, Purdy’s performance even led an NFL analyst to bash him regarding his MVP discussion.

Rob Parker bashed Purdy for his performance!

The Fox Sports analyst, Rob Parker, seemed to have speculated on Purdy’s future based on one game, blaming him for the 49ers’ terrible Christmas defeat. He even regarded him as over-hyped and called him the biggest flop in sports history. The analyst said, “He’s the MVP; he’s the guy; he’s beating all the odds, and now here he is. America, you can’t turn your back on him, you can’t shake your head at him anymore, and you can’t poo Brock Purdy anymore.”

Although it hasn’t been confirmed, there is reason to believe that Purdy is a talented football player based on his previous statistics. He has attempted 586 passes and completed around 400 while achieving an impressive passing yardage of 5,424. These numbers reflect his outstanding performance from a few seasons ago.
