The Pats finally broke a losing curse against the Pittsburgh Steelers. This game marks a 3-10 record between Mike Tomlin and Bill Belichick. A huge driving force behind the game was Ezekiel Elliott, the RB who broke his own record that he hasn’t broken in more than 2 years or so. The Pats had a close game as they won 21-18 against the Steel City team.

In the wake of this, Mike Garafolo caught hold of Elliott after the game and had a chat with him. Safe to say that Elliott is happy with the outcome of the game. The Pats’ defense did a great job today and the Pats RB had a huge part to play in it. It’s been a long time since Belichick’s team got a taste of what a win felt like, but that ended today.

Ezekiel Elliott still has it in him

The reporter asked Elliott how it felt to finally end a 5-game losing streak. The Pats RB was elated and replied, “Hey man, we needed this a lot man. It’s been a minute since we got a win, it’s been a minute since we knew how this felt. And so man it was great for these guys to come out here and get this win”. The reporter pointed out how he the RB had 17 carries on Sunday and how he raised the bar to 22 carries today and wanted the RB’s view on it.

Elliott said, “I feel good man, I feel really good man. I’m glad I’m able to show you guys I still got it” The reporter asks him about the game-winning tackle. Elliott stated the importance of the tackle and poured his heart out about the Pats defense. He gave them credit for doing a phenomenal job of holding the Steelers to 3 points.

The two later had some banter about the cold and Zeke told him that he was happy to bring out the mink coat and that it was only right to wear it on this winning occasion. The Patriots have a long week ahead before they get a knock on the door by the Kansas City Chiefs.

Zeke had a phenomenal night

The New England Patriots Running Back carried 22 times over 68 yards and received 7 passes over 72 yards, coming out with an average of 3.1 yards per carry and 10.3 yards per reception. An interesting thing about Ezekiel Elliott’s performance in this game is that he had more than 100 scrimmage yards.

He hasn’t had a game like this where he crossed more than 100 yards in 781 days. People have new-found confidence in the RB and safe to say that the fans’ fantasy teams are going up because of him for sure. But again, Belichick’s step toward redemption might be too late for the playoff dreams.
