Aaron Rodgers’ absence from mandatory practice is getting a lot of attention. It’s reached a point where even the comedians are taking shots at him. Hopping on the bandwagon, veteran comedian and actor, Lewis Black added his two cents to the situation. Recently, Black gave a sarcastic explanation of where the veteran QB might be on The Rich Eisen Show. Physically on earth, but mentally exploring the inner dimensions of his brain.

Eisen asked the 75-year-old if he had a clue on A-Rod’s whereabouts. The comedian said the first thing that came to his mind. “He’s at ayahuasca camp. He’s going back for a retooling, a re-dying, something I would never do.” It’s safe to say, tripping out on hallucinogens is not most people’s idea of fun.

However, the comedian spoke from experience as he noted, “I did it once as a kid. I took morning glory seeds, don’t do it, and worst part of it is you lay on the ground for an hour then you just kind of feel nauseous and think you’re going to do it, then it’s good for three hours.”

Rodgers’ absence has surely taken a humorous turn. But one man who’s not enjoying is Robert Saleh, who had to answer for A-Rod’s absence. It’s known by now that the QB’s absence is “unexcused.” Yet the HC is putting himself on the chopping block for the Jets’ QB.

“Aaron and I spoke before OTAs [organized team activities] started,” Saleh told reporters and added, “He’s been very good in communication. He’s been here the entire time. It’s unexcused, but he had an event that was very important to him, which he communicated.”

At this point, Rodgers missing out has caught the whole NFL community’s attention. Analysts like Nick Wright, Emmanuel Acho, and a lot of other people, including Colin Cowherd, had nothing but crude takes about Rodgers’ shenanigans.

Colin Cowherd rips into Aaron Rodgers

With the veteran being MIA, Colin Cowherd took shots at Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets. His comments were nothing short of brutal, as he criticized Robert Saleh, the main man A-Rod, and the GM Joe Douglas. Cowherd was reportedly the first person to reveal that Rodgers was on vacation.

“I was told last night from a source I trust, Aaron’s on vacation and it’s overseas. I’m also told you’ll learn where he’s at tomorrow,” said Cowherd as he continued to demolish Rodgers and the Jets’ scheme of operating their team. “The point is, don’t be surprised by this. This is sort of what you would expect. Impulsive owner, new GM, coach with a losing record, prickly, older, at times arrogant, disconnected quarterback,” added the broadcaster.

Maybe the only thing is to wait for a few days and find out where Rodgers really is. Or maybe him missing the training camp is not a big deal at all, as Robert Saleh makes it out to be. With the expectations soaring heights thanks to their massive promises, anything the NY Jets or Aaron Rodgers do, is bound to garner massive attention.
