What a time to be a Rams fan! Amidst the life-threatening wildfires, the Rams had their wild-card game scheduled against the number 5 seed, the Minnesota Vikings. But, of course, the Rams showed up and handled their business. They went up against the Vikings after the venue was relocated and secured their spot in the divisional round. Finally, Matthew Stafford and Co. gave the fans something to smile amidst the shocking wildfires.

But here’s where things get interesting. Stafford’s wife, Kelly Stafford, recently opened up about paying for many buses to go down to Arizona so the Rams fans could attend this week’s wildcard game. “You know. I got tagged in some post,” Kelly shared. “This is a fan organization that I got to know the first year we were in LA. They tailgate a bunch in the pink lot, and I got to know them. And you know someone posted like, let’s get to Arizona. Like Stat KB Stafford, can you help us out something like that.”

And guess what? Instead of ignoring that comment or giving it a quick like, she actually responded and stepped up to help in a most incredible way. “I just wrote back…listen, if you can organize it, I will pay for the buses,” Kelly continued. “So if you can get it all together. I can’t do anything else though, like that is all I can do for you is just pay.” The reason? Well, it’s pretty simple and much-needed concern to think about it.

Kelly didn’t just want the Rams fans to attend the wildcard game. In fact, Stafford’s wife wanted the people of LA out because of the wildfires, as they could get 24 hours of fresh air while enjoying their team to advance to the playoffs. Most importantly, they would stay away if the wildfires spread further. Cheers to the fan organization that got the names, filled up the buses and made sure everything was good to go.

Oh, and it wasn’t just Kelly pulling the strings. Rams’ COO Kevin Demoff also organized buses for season ticket holders, so it became this full-team effort. “(We) did a ton of buses for RAMS season ticket holders which you saw and it was just like a full. I would say a full organization, top to bottom, just haul of getting people there getting the stadium set,” Kelly further mentioned.

Making it feel like a home game, which it did honestly, its probably the most home game that we’ve had. Yeah, LA’s gonna show up now. LA definitely showed up. I mean, they filled all those buses. It was pretty incredible and I don’t want to take a ton of credit because really the people on the other side did it.” By the time game day rolled around, the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, felt like home turf for the Rams. And Kelly Stafford turned out to be an MVP for her efforts.
