The Ravens are the AFC top seed and one of the four franchises to touch the 10-win mark in the NFL this season. Quarterback Lamar Jackson has been instrumental in their run so far and that doesn’t need a mention. But the QB himself, despite all his successes, has remained down to earth.

When he was informed in the post-training press conference about his MVP contention, he had a rather unexpected answer.

Upon receiving the question from a reporter about how he was feeling being a back-to-back MVP candidate, Jackson sounded as humble as it gets. “It’s an honor, just me being acknowledged. Being in the MVP conversation with great guys”, the QB responded. He also stated his larger ambition, to achieve something for the team. “I’m just here tryna win ’cause I want another championship,” he made it clear with a smiling face.

Jackson’s humility is another reason that makes him a great player he is, which is evident in their season. The Ravens are the only side so far to touch the 10-win mark, and the QB has arguably the biggest contribution to it.
