Las Vegas, Nevada hosts the Super Bowl for the first time in its history. The party town is already under the influence of football. And that will be heightened when the cheerleaders start cheering for their team. Are the cheerleaders compensated fairly for this invaluable support?

The NFL is valued at more than $150 billion and some of its superstar QBs easily make more than 50 million dollars per year. But in this conversation, the cheerleaders are rarely brought up. There is no doubt that they are an integral part of the game.

Even though there are complaints of underpayment. Cheerleaders are under the ambit of respective franchises. And the salaries vary not only from franchise to franchise. But it also depends on the experience of the cheerleader.

New cheerleaders are expected to earn around $150-200 per game. While captains and experienced cheerleaders earn around $500 per game. Cheerleaders receive an additional payment for practice sessions, along with any other public appearances as well. So each cheerleading faction would be hoping for their team to win the Super Bowl. This will up shoot their earning potential.

Not only do the Super Bowl festivities go on for more than a week. Post-game victory celebrations do as well. Marked with parades and appearances, each accompanied by their cheerleading squad. So as the Kansas City Chiefs look to defend their title against the San Francisco 49ers, so much is on the line.

The Chiefs have a chance to get their names in the history books by becoming the 9th-ever team to win back-to-back Super Bowls. The 49ers are looking for their 6th win after almost 2 decades of wait.
