The ‘Texas Hold ‘Em‘ singer, Beyonce, is all set to light up the NFL game day event. This will not be the first time when Beyonce will be poised to delight the NFL fans at the halftime show at NRG Stadium in Texans.
Obviously, it will be an amazing experience for Netflix and NFL viewers to watch Queen Bey’s spectacular performance during halftime at the Ravens vs. Texans game. Houston, Texans native singer Beyoncé will entertain the fans with her live performance on her popular Grammy-nominated album, Cowboy Carter, for the very first time on her home turf in a halftime show.
However, the ‘Break My Soul‘ singer has already made waves with her performance in the NFL’s biggest event, the Super Bowl Halftime Show, in 2013 and 2016. And, impressively, back in 2019, she inked a whopping contract deal worth nearly $60 million with the top streaming service, Netflix, for three projects. Under this contract, her documentary film, Homecoming, which featured her electronic Coachella performance in 2018 alone, made 20 million.
As per the report published by AndScape back in December, Dan Runchie shared insights into Beyoncé’s multimillion-dollar deal with Netflix. “If we believe this to be true, then that’s $20M specifically for this performance,” Trapital’s founder stated. Not only this, he also shed light on her $50M deal with Pepsi.
As per Runchie, she performed at the 2013 Super Bowl in New Orleans and in 2016 at Super Bowl 50. Additionally, he also stated that, except for the ‘Single Ladies’ singer everyone else did it for ‘free.’ “But she continued to find a way to get paid even if it’s not directly from the NFL,” he further stated.
After her eye-catching performance, it is pretty much clear that the 32-time Grammy award-winning singer’s performance will raise the stakes of this NFL’s biggest event on Christmas. And, as Beyoncé will perform back on the stages of her hometown in Houston on Christmas day, it is indeed too perfect a present for the NFL to pass up, irrespective of how the deal happened.
But what about the Christmas queen Mariah Carey, you ask? She will open the game with her breathtaking performance of her hit song holiday song, and we all know what that one is!
How much will Mariah make for a Christmas Day half-time show on Netflix?
Mariah Carey’s superhit track ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You,’ is one of her most sensational music videos since its release in 1994. Besides achieving countless accolades for her three-decade-old song, the pop singer has also earned a good amount of money. According to the Economist report, the five-time Grammy award-winning singer received $60 million in royalties from 1994 to 2017. Billboard took to analyze how much Mariah Carey makes during the holiday season.
The figures are astonishing: In 2021, she earned $1.36 million from 1.47 million song consumption units. In addition, she received an extravagant $378,000 from publishing revenues.
Considering that Carey’s song was published thirty years ago, those numbers are really astounding. However, it only represents a small percentage of the entire check that the singer receives throughout the normal holiday season. According to the statistics, Carey’s ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You‘ has gained phenomenal international recognition, with 49% of download sales. And, once again, the staggering evaluation suggests that 70% of streams are not from the U.S. Billboard has estimated that her master’s revenue amounts to $1.55 million.
