Think of the Cincinnati Bengals‘ O-line and Alex Cappa’s will be one of the names to hit your list. Well, ask the Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans and they might include his name as well. As an ex-right guard, of course! The 6’6″, 305-pound guard from California, has been a rock for the Bengals ever since joining the team back in 2022.
Though Cappa’s football career didn’t kick off in the spotlight. He played for Humboldt State University, an NCAA Division II school, which is far from the usual path to the NFL. Well, don’t mention it to Cappa, because that didn’t stop him. After a standout collegiate career, he caught the eye of the scouts in 2017 and a year later, the Bucs drafted him for a 4-year rookie contract.
