Has Kendrick Lamar Performed in the Super Bowl Before?

Definitely, he did, Lamar hit the Super Bowl stage in 2022 at SoFi Stadium during Super Bowl LVI. He performed with the hip-hop legends Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and 50 Cent. That night he performed M.A.A.D City and Alright. But this time, he is planning to keep it different. Yes, he will be the headliner of course, but with a different twist. Lamar comes fresh off his recent Grammy wins, with the song and record of the year for his hit diss track, Not Like Us. The track’s popularity might just set the stage for an exciting halftime show.

You should expect shortened versions of their songs, as Kendrick Lamar and SZA will only have about 15 minutes to perform. In comparison, Usher performed 12 songs during last year’s halftime show, while Rihanna delivered the same number in 2023. When Lamar performed in 2022, his set included just two songs, but with him leading this year’s show, fans can expect a longer performance.

Super Bowl Sunday will also feature other musical performances, the pre-game ceremonies will include the national anthem, America the Beautiful, and Lift Every Voice and Sing. Last year, Reba McEntire, Post Malone, and Andra Day set high expectations for this year’s lineup.

Who are the other artists performing in the 2025 Super Bowl?

Next big question, will Taylor Swift join Kendrick Lamar on stage? There is a possibility of this surprise appearance by Swift, as we have seen in her previous collaboration with Lamar on the Bad Blood remix. Swift might be at the game cheering on her boyfriend, Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kelce, but don’t count on her jumping on stage with Lamar as there is no confirmation of her part in the show.

Super Bowl LIX is going to be an unforgettable night of football and entertainment. While the Chiefs and Eagles battle for the Lombardi Trophy, Kendrick Lamar and SZA will take the stage to perform, just what fans are dying for. Likely to be one of the most exciting halftime performances in recent years. Hope he might skip Not Like Us or it might surprise the fans with a deep cut.
