Are NFL refs ruining the game with their constant flags, or are players just undisciplined?

It’s MNF time! Towards the end, the sound of the final buzzer echoed through the stadium, signaling the Buffalo Bills’ triumphant 23-20 win against the New York Jets. The game featured a showdown between two star quarterbacks: Josh Allen and Aaron Rodgers. However, there was another element in today’s match that aroused fans’ interest because of another thing. You guessed it right, Penalties! No play was without penalty.

During the game, a total of 22 penalties were called! Can you believe it? There was a penalty called every 5.7 yards during the game. In a peculiar coincidence, both the Jets and the Bills were flagged for the same amount of penalties, resulting in 110 yards for the Jets and 94 yards for the Bills.

This year, the level of officiating has been heavily criticized. Amidst the Chiefs vs Bengals clash, the referees made a crucial decision, penalizing the Bengals for pass interference, ultimately leading to the Chiefs’ successful field goal attempt. Though nothing of that sort happened tonight, the game got uglier as both teams battled for a win.
