Remember when we told you about Stefon Diggs swapping his jersey number from ’14’ to ‘1’ upon his move to the Houston Texans from the Buffalo Bills? Well, beyond the clever nod to the Houston Area Code, it appears there’s more to Diggs’ touchdown in Texas. Renowned NFL analyst Jason Whitlock has been dissecting the Diggs trade saga. And now, Whitlock has added another intriguing twist: the allure of Houston’s strip clubs.

In a chat with Steve Kim, he pulled no punches, revealing a different playbook driving Stefon Diggs’ moves. “He wanted to be in a city where he could party,” he said.“Houston as a ‘strip club capital — it’s got to be in the top five in the country. … People swear by Houston’s strip clubs, Stefon Diggs is very happy.”

“It’s not about winning at this point, it’s not about stats, he’s made his money, he’s gotten the big contracts, he’s good. Trust me. He’ll want to put up some numbers, but he don’t really care. He’s not about that life, and this ain’t about winning.”

How true is this? There’s no way to attest to Whitlock’s words. However, with Diggs moving to Houston Texans, he will be closer to his brother Trevon Diggs, who is currently with the Dallas Cowboys.

Whitlock further dove deeper into the trenches, alleging that there’s more to Diggs’ discontent than meets the eye. It’s not just about the parties and the glitz; it’s also about the gridiron dynamics. The analyst claimed that tensions with Bills QB Josh Allen have been simmering for over a year. It was not just about surviving on talent, but about thriving in harmony: A balance that Diggs evidently found missing in Buffalo.

The player also made several passive-aggressive digs towards the team and Allen. All this was surprising considering his arrival at the Buffalo Bills (from the Minnesota Vikings) was seen as one of the biggest win-win trades in NFL history. In return, Minnesota got a first-round pick with Justin Jefferson. Initially, Diggs thrived at Buffalo, and his partnership with Allen seemed like a dream come true. In fact, they won four back-to-back AFC East titles, with Diggs recording 445 catches for 5,372 yards, which was the most in the NFL during that timeframe, and 37 touchdowns. However, Diggs’ bubbling temper and passive-aggressive comments remained.

So as the NFL offseason drama unfolds, the Stefon Diggs saga emerges as a tale of two cities and the pursuit of glory and good times.

One thing remains undeniable: Stefon Diggs is a force to be reckoned with on the field. His track record speaks volumes—he’s been hauling in catches, leading the NFL in receptions over the past four seasons. Not to mention, he’s been a mainstay at the Pro Bowl, earning the nod four consecutive times during his tenure with the Bills.

Now, with his arrival in Houston, the Texans’ offense is poised for a revolution. Teaming up with Tank Dell and Nico Collins, Diggs forms a trio of wideouts that could strike fear into any defensive coordinator’s heart. So while it may have been the Houston Area Code or the neon lights of Houston’s entertainment district as the real end zone for Diggs.
