As per a TMZ report, the NFL future Hall of Famer’s father was taken into custody last month in Tyler, Texas. The baffling report suggests that he was caught driving with an illegal license, as he disregarded the traffic signs. But, it may come as a surprise to the fans that this is not the first time Mahomes Sr. has been arrested. Another account follows, around four months ago as he had to deal with a DWI arrest in the same city.

A recent report reveals that the father of the NFL QB was already cautioned about the crime, but he disobeyed traffic rules, which led to facing the charges of harsh DUI/DWI penalties. And, owing up to it, he had to pay a considerable sum up to a $2,000 fine. He also had to face 120 days in county prison, the same penalty that first-time offenders are subjected to.

According to the latest court document, Mahomes Sr. will be in prison for 10 years for his most recent DWI violation. For this same matter, he will appear in court on July 22. Moreover,  driving without a legal driver’s license is going to make the situation more critical, with another court hearing scheduled for July 29.

The QB’s dad was also put into jail earlier this year in February, around the same time Patrick, 28, played against the 49ers in the Super Bowl. Patrick Mahomes Sr. cheered him from the stands and celebrated the Chiefs’ three-peat at the Super Bowl with his NFL son, even though he was ridden with the charge. Amid the joy for the good news coming from the Mahomes household, Pat Mahomes Sr.’s situation looms like an uncertain dark cloud.
