Just hours after standing up for her son Patrick Mahomes, mama Mahomes shared a heartfelt moment on social media. The incident started when Chiefs’ kicker Harrison Butker gave a controversial speech at Benedictine College in Kansas. Butker said, “Some of you may go on to lead successful careers in the world, but I would venture to guess that the majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world.” 

This speech led to a lot of backlash from fans. They were upset and directed some of their anger towards the Chiefs and their star player, Patrick Mahomes, for not speaking out against Butker’s comments.

After defending her son from the backlash, Randi posted another message on X. She wrote, “Never thought a good hug would be all I needed.. 🥰” This simple statement showed that after all the stress and defending her family, a hug brought her the comfort she needed.

After the NFL’s VP made this matter clear by saying, “Harrison Butker gave a speech in his personal capacity, his views are not those of the NFL as an organization”, fans still wanted to hear from Patrick Mahomes. When he didn’t respond, they criticized the Chiefs’ QB. That’s when Randi Mahomes stepped in to defend her son. She posted on the social media platform ‘X’, saying,“The only one qualified to throw a stone… didn’t.”
