A unique handmade gift wishing the best of luck! Andy Reid has a lot of praise for the singer Taylor Swift. The Kansas City Chiefs had a successful 2023 season, and some credit also goes to Tay-Tay and her homemade recipe, which Reid recently talked about.
The Chiefs’ head coach knew Swift and her family when she was “real young.” So, ultimately, Reid was happy to see her attending the Chiefs’ games. However, how did she build a strong bond with the Chiefs players other than Travis Kelce? Coach Reid revealed the answer to this question.

In the latest interview with NBC Sports’ Chris Simms and Mike Florio on Tuesday at the NFL Combine, the Chiefs head coach Andy Reid was asked if Taylor Swift ever became a distraction for the Red Army. Reid replied, “I knew her dad and her mom and (they’re) good solid people. And I had met her when she was young. And she’s so grounded for who she is.” The 65-year-old also mentioned that Tay-Tay might be the next most famous woman in the world after the Queen passed, “but she handles it” perfectly.
During the conversation, Reid also informed that the 14-time Grammy winner won the Chiefs’ heart with her homemade wishes and love. He revealed that Swift baked sweet treats — “homemade Pop-Tarts” — for the Chiefs’ offensive linemen, including her boyfriend Travis Kelce. Reid said, “And kind of behind the scenes to fit in…she likes to cook so she made the offensive lineman these homemade Pop-Tarts. So it was over. She didn’t give me one and the offensive linemen definitely didn’t give me one.“
Although Reid missed out on Swift’s sweet dish, he was happy to see the singer making a place in everyone’s heart. He later concluded that the Taylor Swift hoopla “was never an issue” for the team and himself, as “Travis handled it great. She handled it great.“
