No one can forget how Patrick Mahomes‘s Chiefs defeated Lamar Jackson’s Ravens at the AFC Championship game. That matchup obviously created a playful rift between the two teams. Hence, now that both teams are in the playoffs, it’s quite possible that they might meet up once again this time. However, for it, the Ravens need to win the upcoming battles on their way. But the word game is on.

Before the wildcard game against the Steelers, Ravens’s cornerback Marlon Humphrey shared a sheet of top 20 players. In that, he mentioned Mahomes’s name at no. 19 first. But then, he drew an arrow pointing at no. 13. The league suggests that Mahomes ranks No. 13 on the top 20 NFL Top 100 Tour list, as voted by the players. But that’s just not all! Besides writing Mahomes’s name, Humphrey made sure to make fun of the QB. He wrote, “GONZO or Stingley” after his name. But wait, he got a clap back.

We all know that Mahomes has always been teased as muppet character (Gonzo this time) in the league by his rivals. This time too, Lamar Jackson’s teammate tried to embarrass the 29-year-old. Nevertheless, Mahomes’s teammate and Ravens’ former WR Hollywood Brown, was arguably there to take revenge on Baltimore and Humphrey. Taking to his X account, a few hours after this post on Thursday, Brown wrote, “Keep the same energy (time ticking down emoji).” Although he didn’t clearly mention whom he is directing to.

However, many fans believed that it was for the Ravens and Humphrey’s joke. Brown has played for the Purple Murder for three years from 2019 to 2021. And now that he is with the Chiefs, Brown is ready to make them bite the dust once again in the playoffs.

Besides all these rivalries, one cannot deny the fact that Patrick Mahomes was snubbed by the league for the Pro Bowl.

Patrick Mahomes failed to secure a Pro Bowl spot!

In total, five players were selected from the Chiefs to be on the Pro Bowl list. However, surprisingly, Patrick Mahomes was not among them. Surprisingly, the quarterback missed being selected for this category for the first time in his NFL career. So, what pushed him out of the spot this time?

What’s your perspective on:

Did the league snub Mahomes, or is his Pro Bowl absence justified this season?

Well, there could be multiple reasons.  One could be Mahomes ranking outside the top 20 due to his 84.9 (B grade), as per QB+ scores. In addition, with a season score of 85.0, Mahomes ranks 10th overall among other quarterbacks. Hence, many believe that Mahomes has not done enough to be named to the Pro Bowl. That’s despite playing through his ankle injury on the way to a three-peat.

Nevertheless, the Chiefs’s other stars such as Travis Kelce, Creed Humphrey, Trey Smith and Joe Thuney, are selected for this year’s Pro Bowl.
