Does Taylor Swift have competition? We’re obviously kidding. However, Darren Waller may already be planning for his “life after football“. And no, he’s not going to bank on his investments. Or his brand endorsements. He’s set to make a name in the entertainment industry.

And while you may think that it seems very random, it’s not. There’s precedent for that, and he didn’t even have to look far. It was right there in his home! So what are Waller’s plans from now on? And who is his inspiration?

Waller is about as versatile as they come. He was picked up by the Giants only last year. Possibly not satisfied with football alone, he’s making inroads into the rap world. Dov Kleiman shared a snippet of his new rap song on X. If you went to his Instagram, it will tell you that it’s part of something bigger. Is he planning a single? Nope. The 31-year-old is working on an entire album!

This is not out of the blue, though. He already has a YouTube channel with over 11 music videos. And the most popular of those has over 812k views. But all that hasn’t distracted him from football. He has emerged as a key offensive weapon in the Giants’ schema. Unfortunately, his season came to an abrupt end in Week 8.

He suffered a hamstring injury. But before going out, Darren Waller had amassed 552 yards and 52 receptions. He’s not doing anything unique as well. Just following in the footsteps of his wife.

Kelsey Plum wins an unlikely battle

No one suspected this to happen. Then on March 4, 2023, the world woke up to joyful news. Darren Waller had tied the knot with Kelsey Plum. No one has gotten wind of their budding relationship before that. Plum plays for the Las Vegas Aces in the Women’s NBA. When she is not busy killing it on the hardwood, she engages in rap battles.

Last year, she had won the Wild N Out rap battle. And what was her winning rap called? “I’ll Steal Yo Girl & I’m Not Even Gay”. But winning comes as second nature to her. And she is the epitome of being a versatile human. Does her rap hobby take a toll on her basketball career? Gauge for yourself: she won two straight WNBA Championships in 2022 and 2023! That’s one more thing Waller can learn from his wife. He is yet to hoist the Vince Lombardi Trophy.
