In the 2023 NFL season, the Miami Dolphins entered the gridiron with renewed energy. They ended the previous season with nine victories and eight defeats. Now, in this season the Dolphins are navigating in the regular season with nine victories and three defeats, with five more games to go. While the entire squad is responsible for this dominance, WR Tyreek Hill and his “impact” on every player sure looks to be a promising aspect for the team.

Coach Mike McDaniel appeared to be agreeing to the same. In a recent interview, he opened up about the position Hill holds in the AFC East toppers. Particularly focusing on the evolution Hill has gone through over the years, the coach appreciated the wide receiver’s efforts on and off the field.

HC McDaniel appeared on “The Rich Eisen Show” where he was questioned about Tyreek Hill and his impact on the team. Concerning the same, McDaniels shared how under his two years of tenure, Hill has grown as a player and how uplifting his position is in the team. According to the coach, the WR this season has “unearthed” a version of himself that even he wasn’t probably aware of.

Acknowledging the ownership he puts on the entire team’s state of the union and how he uplifts the team, McDaniels said, “By his actions, he can do what he can invest more into what he can. You know he’s a game changer.” Furthermore, the coach revealed how this fact is true “not just when he has the ball in his hands but how he goes about preparing for Sundays,” showcasing his determination and resilience.

“So you want to talk about how hard, I mean we have a team that plays hard each and every week. and we have a team that’s very prepared in practice because they go hard every week in practice,” McDaniels said as he immediately added that this is something they couldn’t capture this exact element without the “best player on the team , maybe in the league.”

For the coach, the “pride” Hill has taken in blocking and everything is an aspect of the player. Calling the WR smart, McDaniels said, “Just overall, he is so smart and took the time this off-season to really understand everything we are telling him as receiver as far as route depth to time in to with what the QB is doing so that he gets the ball immediately.”
