Teddy Bridgewater has been part of the football world for almost a decade now. In today’s day and age where QBs tend to stick out longer than their bodies allow them to, 31-year-old Bridgewater has decided to hang up his boots. “Whatever was meant for me, it played out the exact way it was meant”, said Bridgewater on his career as he announced his retirement. During 10 seasons of playing in the NFL, Bridgewater was a part of 7 different teams while playing for 6. At that time, injuries were always a source of concern for him. But when he was fit and given the starting role, he made sure to put on a show for the fans.

Bridgewater was never the out-and-out starting choice of QB for any of the teams he played for. But he was one of the best backup QBs any NFL team could have on their roster. He showed that all his career and here are some games that will always be remembered for his brilliance:
1) 2014 – Week 4 the Vikings vs the Falcons
Bridgewater’s first NFL start to a game and he lit it up with 317 passing yards and his first-ever TD. He displayed his ferocity and speed by scoring the TD on a 13-yard rush touchdown. His team, the Vikings, won by 41-28.
2) 2014 – Week 8 the Vikings vs the Buccaneers
Both teams put a defensive masterclass up in this game. However, rookie Bridgewater led a valiant game-tying drive that forced overtime. The Vikings won the game 19-13 in the end.
3) 2015 – Week 7 the Vikings vs the Lions
Arguably the best game of Bridgewater’s long career. He threw for 316 yards. For his first TD pass of the game, he connected with rookie Steffon Diggs to outshine the tough defense of the Lions. The Vikings won by 28-19.
4) 2019 – Week 5 the Saints vs the Buccaneers
Another 300+ yard game for Bridgewater, he completely outclassed the Bucs with 314 yards and 4 TDs. This entire game is just a Bridgewater highlight reel as the Saints defeated the Buccaneers 31-21.

5) 2023 – Week 5 the Lions vs the Panthers
Even in his last season, Bridgewater showcased his arm strength and fabulous accuracy. He threw a 70-yard touchdown pass to WR Antoine Green. The Lions, with the help of Bridgewater, put on a clinic on the Panthers, winning by 42-21.
