You can call Lamar Jackson the Superman of the Baltimore Ravens, but you can’t deny the fact that the playoffs have become Jackson’s kryptonite. No matter how strong the regular season is, the playoffs keep finding a way to shut him down. And that’s kinda frustrating for the Ravens and the fans as well. You went to sleep the other night with hope for a championship game, enter four quarters against the Bills and the season is over.

That’s the same story for the Baltimore team today, especially for cornerback Marlon Humphrey. After another postseason loss, Humphrey posted on his official ‘X’ handle and shared an emotional message. “Was hoping when I woke up it was just a dream. But nah season is over,” he posted with a broken heart. You can say the CB didn’t have a good morning at all.

See, the thing is, Jackson isn’t the only one with a poor track record when it comes to the postseason. Humphrey’s been with the Ravens for almost a decade, but still no Super Bowl ring. He and Lamar are kind of in the same boat, though Humphrey’s got a year on him. The Baltimore team grabbed him with the 16th pick in the 2017 draft, and he’s been the starting cornerback ever since. The 28-year-old veteran crushed his rookie deal, though, and ended up with a huge 5-year, $97 million extension. Still, he must be out there thinking, ‘Where’s that damn ring?

But with the way things are shaping up, he’s probably got a whole new set of questions on his mind. What kind of questions, you ask? Well, for one, this season marks his fourth year of that big contract extension, and next up, he’ll be entering his final year in 2025. So yeah, his future with the Ravens? Definitely up in the air after that. Who knows if they’ll want to keep him around or if he’ll be looking for a fresh start somewhere else?

So far, the CB’s been having a standout career with the Ravens. Take this season, for instance. The 28-year-old started all the games that he played and racked up 67 total tackles—50 solos and 17 assists—and even managed half a sack. Solid numbers it seems, but sure he’s hoping for more next season.

However, as frustrating as it is for the entire Ravens squad, no one feels the weight of these postseason disappointments more than Lamar Jackson. And we can surely see his frustration after the loss.

Lamar Jackson just can’t seem to shake the playoff demons and this season is yet another example of his poor track record. Because let’s be real for a moment. They had a real shot at keeping their season alive, but it all slipped away thanks to some big mistakes at the worst possible moments. For one, Mark Andrews dropped a two-point conversion. Yeah, that hurt. But then, you had Lamar Jackson fumbling twice and throwing an interception—just bad luck all around. With these stats on the sheet, all he could do was to take out his frustration in some words.

“Every time we in situations like this, turnovers play a factor. Penalties play a factor,” Jackson said while addressing his own need to hold on to the ball. “Tonight, the turnovers, we can’t have that s–t and that’s why we lost the game. As you can see, we’re moving the ball wonderfully, it’s [just] hold onto the f–king ball. I’m sorry for my language, but this s–t annoying. I’m tired of this s–t.”

Honestly, who can blame him? It’s tough to keep seeing the same pattern play out in the postseason. Jackson and the Ravens moving the ball well, but faltering when it matters most. It feels like every time the playoffs come around, Lamar’s game turns into a highlight reel of what-ifs. And if you ask any Ravens fan, they’ll tell you the same thing—this isn’t just bad luck, it’s starting to become a trend.
