“He Was Casual With the TD”: Fans Take Aim at George Pickens for Showing Off Catching Skills While “Out of Bounds”

The Pittsburgh Steelers won against the Tennessee Titans in the fading moments of the game thanks to Kenny Pickett, who lobbed the pass to Diontae Johnson for a 3-yard TD, bumping the scoreboard to 20-16 in the Steelers’ favor. There were a lot of interesting things that surfaced throughout the game: JJ Watt’s no-helmet sack and Matt Canada on the sidelines for the first time. And now, George Pickens is back with his shenanigans, and the fans are going wild.

The NFL recently uploaded a snippet of the Titans vs. Steelers game, and what happens in the video is nothing short of jaw-dropping but also of no consequence at the same time. The Steelers must be punching the air right now after what Pickens did on the sidelines. The fans surely are. If he does this constantly, the Steelers will be in the playoffs in no time.

The video from the NFL on X shows George Pickens in action. However, the action is contained on the sidelines. This happened after the Titans’ QB threw the ball out of bounds after being rushed by the Steelers. The ball was headed out of bounds when the wide receiver caught the ball with one hand. The ball was well out of his reach, so he jumped up and snagged the ball with one hand.

If we saw this in the end zone, the story would be much different. Not that it isn’t awe-inspiring as it is right now. The video is captioned, “George Pickens so casual with the snag 😂.” The word “casual” is apt here because it looks like Pickens made the catch with no effort at all. It is true, after all; the pros make it look easy.

Only if he did that on the field, things would have been different for the Steelers. That’s exactly what the fans are saying right now.

As inspiring and fantastic as the catch was, the fans are not short of admiring and making fun of the situation. It would seem like Levis is better at throwing passes to the opposition than Kenny Pickett, or at least that’s what a fan thinks of this situation. Even though the video is captioned “casual,” there is nothing easy about the catch he made. The fans didn’t hold back from making fun of George Pickens and the whole situation in the past games when his touchdowns were ruled invalid because he didn’t have both feet down.

One fan wrote, “Just like he was casual with the TD, out of bounds,” while another said, “Why couldn’t he do that in the end zone,” and another wrote, ‘Except when he’s in the end zone.” The roast didn’t stop there, as a fan wrote, “Couldn’t do that a couple plays ago tho.” Another fan asked, “Can he do that on the field???,” while a fan made fun of the situation, saying, “It’s the only catch he has,” while another fan got a bit technical with the joke and said, “BUT were both feet down this time?”
