The Patriots have had their hands rather full this past week with their off-season program. While most of their star players have been in for training, the team wound up missing a few wide receivers out on the field. Although the team’s starter, Kendrick Bourne, had been sitting out since his ACL injury last year, he managed to catch up with a couple of his teammates on their day off.

In a recent vlog to Bourne’s YouTube channel, it was revealed that he, Tyquan Thornton, and Demario Douglas had spent their day off together. The guys had spent some time at a sneaker shop, where they ended up buying a few new kicks for themselves. While the video showed the teammates having a swell time together, the group’s camaraderie was taken to a whole new level once they reached the food court.

As the athletes found a spot to get comfortable, Bourne put his bond with Thornton into the spotlight. While the 23-year-old pulled up his chair to the table, the starter joked, “Hey boy, look look, he tryna emphasize that he here.” The 28-year-old also added, “He tryna take my job this year!” Without skipping a beat, the 2022 NFL draft pick ended up breaking into a song. He sang, “Just give me my money.”

After Bourne pointed out that the singing was something that Kai Cenat would do, he turned his attention to Douglas. The 23-year-old asked KB what a high chair was doing next to him, to which the WR responded by saying that it was for his teammate. While the trios bond seems to be stronger than ever, it might be some time before Patriots fans can see that camaraderie out on the field.

When will Kendrick Bourne join the Patriots again?

Last October, the New England Patriots Kendrick Bourne was wiped out of the season, just as things were heating up. During a match against the Dolphins in Week 8, the starting wide receiver was sidelined after he suffered a torn ACL. With more than 6 months gone by and regular rehab to get back into shape, the athlete still has not completely healed. In fact, just a week ago, he ended up being ruled out of the team’s spring practices, according to the head coach, Jerod Mayo.

While Bourne might have no chances of taking part in the offseason training program, it looks like the NFL star is still as hands on as ever with him voluntarily attending every practice session. Although it might be a while before fans get to see the 28-year-old back in actions, the Patriots are hoping to get the wide received back on the field by the start of the season. But with no update on his injury, there is no saying how it could end up playing out.

There is no doubt that the Patriots are counting down the days till Bourne’s torn ACL heals. After all, the WR proved to be one of the best players in the team last year, before he was taken out. In fact, in only 8 game appearances last season, he had 37 receptions for 406 yards and four touchdowns.
