Travis Kelce is the “energy booster” of the Kansas City Chiefs. The franchise is into the Super Bowl once again, aiming to create a history of winning two back-to-back Super Bowls, after the 2003 & 2004 Patriots. But ahead of the game, quarterback Patrick Mahomes stopped to praise his best friend, Kelce.

There is no doubt that Kelce is arguably one of the finest tight ends in the league at present. He is often viewed as the next Hall of Famer, and also compared to Rob Gronkowski. This season, he has played a crucial role in keeping the Chiefs’ receiving side alive, besides setting multiple records in the league (eclipsed 11,000 career receiving yards). So, how does he manage all of this while also devoting an equal amount of time and significance to his personal life with Taylor Swift? Well, his friend, Patrick Mahomes has the answer!

Patrick Mahomes praised his “brother” Travis Kelce!

In a pregame press conference of the Chiefs, ahead of the Super Bowl matchup, Patrick Mahomes talked about his team’s preparation, thoughts, and also on Travis Kelce’s mindset. When asked by a curious reporter about Kelce’s energy and how he brings that to everyone on the team, Mahomes emphasized the tight end’s energy during the games and practice.

He replied that Kelce approaches every practice with high energy, wanting to take every single rep. Mahomes continued, “We have to get him out of practice, just to give him a rest and he wants to be out there for every single play,” this mindset of wanting to be the hardest worker raises the standards for everyone, and also proves his best candidature for the future Hall of Fame for the Chiefs.

The quarterback acknowledged, “It raises everybody’s standard, it raises the standard of how you practice, it raises the standards of how you prepare, because you know that guy has done at the top level, wants to continue to do it every single week, every single day and at the same time he has a great time doing it and I think that shows that you can work extremely hard and still have fun.”

Besides him, Mahomes too, has a similar attitude towards every play, and that’s the reason why they have a close bond in the team.

Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are the same?

The Chiefs’ stars, Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, share a special bond off the field. And it is evident from making connections on the field to attending parties and weddings together. Furthermore, besides having two Super Bowls, their connection goes beyond touchdowns as the stars also now own the joint venture of co-owning a racing team.

Talking about their “bromance,” Mahomes in an interview with ESPN’s Jeff Darlington, last year, noted, “I honestly feel like he’s my brother…..Because the relationship that we have, and how we’ve kind of become these brothers on the football field. He just wants to be the guy that comes to play football every single day, and I think that’s what makes him so special and why guys really gravitate towards him. We both love winning and we love competing. And I think that’s what makes us have that same wavelength on the football field as we’re going to compete to the very end.”

Now, these “brothers” are going to play the Super Bowl LVIII on February 11, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
