On Sunday in week 8 of the NFL, as the New York Jets prepared to face the New York Giants, NFL fans got to see another milestone in the recovery of the Jets’ legendary player, Aaron Rodgers. It seems like he is aiming to break the conventional recovery pattern for players and return to the field this season only, despite facing an Achilles injury in his first game for the Jets.

When Rodgers joined the Jets, the NFL world and the Jets themselves were hoping that they would make it to the playoffs, but their expectations were dashed in the season-opening match when Rodgers suffered a season-ending injury. However, Rodgers remains true to his game and is currently way ahead of schedule in his recovery.

Just before the game between the Jets and the Giants, the official NFL Instagram account posted a video showing QB Rodgers throwing passes to his teammates. An interesting aspect of the video was that Aaron Rodgers was not seen using any aids like crutches, and he was making movements like a slight backward and forward motion before throwing the ball.

In his all-black attire with a casual look, Rodgers was seen in his usual style of practice, giving everyone around a ray of hope for his early comeback. Witnessing his unimaginably fast recovery, the NFL put up a caption saying, “Unreal to seeing him moving around like this”. The account resonated with the shock that the whole football world was facing witnessing the footballer back in the gridiron.

Well, this is not the first time Rodgers was seen on the field! In the Week 6 game between the New York Jets and the Philadelphia Eagles, he threw a ball for five minutes. Additionally, he was on a headset during that game, advising his team, and unexpectedly, the Jets beat the Eagles.

Through his every action and incredible recovery, he is showing fans how dedicated he is to the game and how badly he wants to be back on the field. The football community seems equally thrilled and confused at his speedy probable comeback, throwing in their opinions about the injury of the star.

Fans are in disbelief after seeing Rodgers’ recovery

After the surgery, within a month, Aaron Rodgers started walking with the help of crutches. Now, after just two months, he is back on his feet without any assistance and is throwing the ball on the field. While he has complete support and appreciation of the fans backing him, there still remains that factor of disbelief that the spectators are feeling over his unbelievably quick recovery.

One fan expressed the questioning he felt over the untimely recovery and the way Rodgers was moving swiftly on the field without any support. He wrote, “He didn’t tear his achilis.” Another fan shared a similar sentiment, expressing how the whole injury issue seemed questionable after such a quick comeback of the QB on the gridiron, commenting, “Yeah no shot. Definitely a fake injury.”

One spectator seemed to be completely taken aback by the efforts put in by the football icon, commenting how she anticipated any early re-entry of him this season itself, “The shit he’s doing has me in awe. He’s really gonna return this season…” There was an admirer of the athlete who commented how it seemed impossible for him to be back to playing with such injury, writing, “Yeah he never fully tore it. This is impossible if he did.”

It usually takes 9-12 months to recover from an Achilles injury, but Rodgers is showing a very quick recovery, which could put him back on the field in 5-6 months after the injury. However, Rodgers has not provided any indication of a deadline to return to the field. It would be interesting to see if he can break the record of Cam Akers, who recovered from the injury in 5 months.
