It was almost as if you’re watching a play on Broadway. Half of Arrowhead Stadium roared as the Chiefs marched toward their final judgment day. While the other half of the stadium was quiet. No doubt, the Chiefs bested Josh Allen’s Bills in a tough fight, 32-29. It looks like Patrick Mahomes and Co. weren’t about to give up those 3 points because they’ve set their sights on a 3-peat. Well, Josh Allen is now the first QB to lose four playoff starts against another QB, Patrick Mahomes. Such a loss must’ve felt like an uppercut from Mike Tyson, for sure.
The water is calm now, they’ve done what they could. The only thing that matters now is the support from loved ones that will help a player get back on the field again. That’s exactly what Hailee Steinfeld did. In a recent interview with E! News, she was asked how proud she was of Josh and his team. “I am so proud of that man and everything he’s done and everything that team has done together. He is the hardest-working person I know.”

Don’t need no butterflies when Hailee Steinfeld is giving us a whole damn zoo with those aww-worthy words. Oh, you don’t know about Josh and Hailee? Well, you’re in for a treat. They got romantically linked in the spring of 2023. They’ve kept their relationship private because, of course, the paparazzi won’t leave them alone. But from time to time, Josh has shown his love for her through his social media. In a recent IG story, Josh wished her a happy birthday with a sprinkle of heartwarming words. “I love you, here’s to forevermore.”
Give me the drumroll, ready for the wow factor? Josh went down on one knee and proposed to Hailee. November 29th of last year will always be a core memory for the couple. And Josh Allen did it in the most beautiful way—in Malibu, surrounded by a pink floral arch.

The IG caption read, “11•22•24” with two infinity emojis, explaining their eternal love for each other. Their fans flooded the comments, but the one that stood out was Travis Kelce’s “Congratulations” comment. Now, we know a little bit why he was so calm after the loss: his fiancée, Hailee Steinfeld, is there to back him up with love and support, duh.

It wasn’t like Josh Allen wasn’t playing his A-game, his performance was impressive against the Chiefs. Yet, after the tough loss, he stood strong for his team, saying, “They show up every day, work as hard as they can. Everyone really bought into what we talked about before the season started. Of course, I love these guys no matter what happened.”
After losing a game like that, Josh showed the true spirit of an athlete, focusing not on the defeat but on the team’s hard work and unity. As he put it, “But to be the champs, you’ve got to beat the champs,” acknowledging that the Chiefs proved to be too much to overcome.
It’s not about if you lose, it’s about how you get up from that loss. We all can take a lesson from Josh Allen about this. To move forward, you first have to acknowledge the defeat and recognize areas where you could have done better. “I think one of the main reasons is they played really well. They put their big guys in the middle, and our linebackers were coming downhill. They executed really well.” Allen reflected on the game with clarity. But he also understands the bigger picture, “But to be the champs, you’ve got to beat the champs.” He will surely comeback stronger next time with that mindset.
