The Green Bay Packers are currently in a pigskin showdown with divisional rivals, the Detroit Lions right on their turf. Kicking off the Turkey Day gridiron gala, it seems like the Lions have shuffled the deck upfront in their defensive dance with the Packers for their Annual Thanksgiving Day Game. The Lions, sporting an 8-2 record and eyeing that playoff pie, are locking horns with the 4-6 Packers, who are scrapping like mad for survival.

Cue to the kickoff and the Packers are the ringmasters at 23 while the Lions are left scratching their manes at meager 6 points. Now, just last week, the Packers’ star punter Keisean Nixon took a breather during the Chargers throw down due to a seemingly minor hiccup. But guess what? He’s back in the action, shaking off that injury like a pro. Talk about a turkey day turnaround.

Today, just before the Packers geared up for their gridiron battle against the Lions, Keisean Nixon was eyeing a different kind of touchdown – a turkey touchdown. Literally. While the rest of the squad was deep in game mode, Nixon was daydreaming about his Thanksgiving feast.

The Packers’ social media crew spilled the cranberry sauce on Nixon’s Turkey Day cravings, sharing a video with the caption, “Still figuring out that perfect meal? @keiseannixon’s got you covered. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

In the clip, Nixon laid out the game plan: “Mac and Cheese, honey and bacon, turkey,” he even threw in a sweet twist, reminiscing about his grandma’s dessert playbook – featuring chocolate pudding mousse and white cream croissants. Looks like Nixon’s got his priorities straight, earning him a unanimous nod from the foodie fanbase.

Encore performance alert: Keisean Nixon eyes all-pro repeat in return game

Talk about getting your priorities straight! Keisean Nixon bounced back onto the gridiron after a brief exit last week during the green and gold’s epic showdown with the Chargers. In Sunday’s nail-biter, he laid down the law with seven tackles (six solo) in the 23-20 victory. And that’s not all–he cranked up the excitement by returning two kickoffs for a cool 60 yards and two punts for a crafty two yards.

Nixon’s been dominating, clocking over 80 percent of the defensive snaps for the third straight game. And let’s not forget his stellar performance in the return game–he snagged a spot on the 2022 All-Pro Team as a kick returner. More so, he’s gunning for an encore. As we head into the final game of Week 11, he’s leading the pack with 562 kick-return yards, boasting an average of 26.8 yards per kick-return. Clearly, Nixon is leaving a gridiron trail that’s hard to ignore!
