Thanksgiving is here, and it’s time for the Denver Broncos to express their gratitude for their loved ones. The Broncos have a 4-game win streak, which might be the first thing they can be thankful for as a team. Russell Wilson came forth in a presser and talked about what Thanksgiving means to him.
The Broncos will play against the Cleveland Browns in a few days, so they need to muster their strength for the arduous battle ahead. But Wilson chose to take one thing at a time, and for now, he will just practice and be thankful for what he has.

In the presser, a reporter asked the QB1 what Thanksgiving means for him. Wilson had the humblest answer, considering it’s that time of the year when he has to be grounded in his roots. The QB1 thanks his family, friends, career, and the fact that he wakes up every morning and walks into the Broncos facility. Besides the delicious food, Wilson’s motives behind his Thanksgiving celebration were entirely selfless.
He mentioned that he will be at practice with the team until about 3-3:30 p.m., then meet with the teammates and some of their families. He said he is fortunate to have such amazing teammates and the Broncos’ organization to lean on. According to Wilson, breathing and getting up daily is a miracle. Wilson said he is fortunate to work alongside hardworking folks, which is a gift.
But that’s not all that Wilson has to be thankful for, given the challenges that lie ahead for the Broncos.

He emphasized that people should wake up daily and be thankful for everything they have. It doesn’t matter whether it’s Thanksgiving Day or not; people should be “gracious” always. He mentioned being around “guys that are dedicated to their craft.” Maybe the dedication will show in the next home game against the Cleveland Browns.
The Browns are one of the best defensive teams in the league, so the Broncos will face a challenge. For now, the Broncos have adapted the ‘Ric Flair Mentality’ and will try their best to avoid Myles Garrett, who has 13 sacks in 10 games this season. Also, the Broncos must be thankful for how far they have come, considering they rank 21st in the red zone offense rankings.
