Barkley appeared on the latest episode of the super popular podcast ‘New Heights’ hosted by the Kelce’s. “We were getting our a** beat by the Eagles so bad for so much of my career. My daughter had seen the pain it had caused and my daughter was like, are we actually going to win now?”, said Barkley as recounted the entire incident.

This story told in jest by the 2X Pro Bowler was taken out of proportion and discussed ad nauseam by the Giants fans. They suspected Barkley of throwing shade at the Giants. However, on the podcast Barkley shares that was not his intention and just wanted to tell her 5-year-old’s reaction to his move.

“You know they’re gonna spin it”, said the Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis about the incident. “It’s not worth it, you always gotta take the high road”, said Jason giving the golden advice to Barkley. Apart from this advice, Jason also gave a reply to a request from Barkley. One that had the Eagles fans holding their breath anxiously.

Jason Kelce turns down the offer

Last season was a painful one for Kelce and the Eagles. After registering 5-game winning streaks twice in the season. The Eagles fizzled out during the end, losing 6 of their last 7 games. Eventually crashing out in the wildcard round of the playoffs. This led the center Kelce to announce his retirement.

I’m not gonna come back. I’m not doing (that), said Kelce.
