The Palisades fire in California has been spreading rapidly across Los Angeles. The fire began with just a spark in Pacific Palisades, covering just 300 acres, and has now surged past 5,000 acres. More than 70,000 people have been asked to evacuate, while 1000s of buildings have been ravaged. All this has drastically affected everyone living in LA. Several people have stood up during these tough times and have shown their support to others and acknowledged the firefighters combating these flames during these tough times.
One person who has reacted to these terrifying fires is Jared Goff’s wife, Christen Harper. Harper took to her Instagram to share a story about the same. She wrote, ” Just so terrifying thinking of everyone effected by these devastating fires across LA. So many places I’ve loved my whole life gone forever. Friends losing their homes and displaced. Such a scary helpless situation. Thinking of all the brave firemen and first responders working endlessly to keep people safe.”
Harper was born in Valencia, Los Angeles, and has constantly shown her support to the people affected by the fire and has urged people to “stay safe” and support each other during these tough times.

These fires are much worse than people think….just absolutely devastating Pacific Palisades & Malibu.
I work about 6 miles from all this & currently headed in now.

Former NFL Quarterback Chase Daniel also reacted to the same and probably shared the most horrific and real picture of the scale of the wildfires. Sharing a video on X he wrote, “These fires are much worse than people think….just absolutely devastating Pacific Palisades & Malibu. I work about 6 miles from all this & currently headed in now. This picture is from a plane to show the sheer size of it all.”

The NFL is constantly monitoring the situation
With the wildfire continuously spreading across Los Angeles, the NFL is constantly measuring the situation to measure any impact it might have on Monday night’s wild-card playoff game between the Minnesota Vikings and Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium. The Chief NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy recently said, “The NFL continues to closely monitor developments in the area and will remain in contact with both clubs and the NFLPA.”
The fire has been constantly spreading and in any such scenario, sports does take a back seat. In previous years, the NFL has taken the call to change the location of the game depending on the weather or any other such circumstance. In 2022, the Browns and Bills played at Detroit’s Ford Field due to a “winter storm with lake effect snow” that was slated to hit the Buffalo area. The NFL also postponed the Steelers-Bills wild-card game last January one day after a heavy snowstorm hit the Buffalo area.

Whatever happens with the game is yet to be seen, but for now, we extend all our support to the people affected by the fire and show our gratitude to all the firefighters putting everything on the line to help others.
