Gisele Bündchen opens up on mental health—Is Tom Brady out of touch with today's athletes?

Going on about his broadcasting duties this week, Tom Brady ensured everyone remembered the competitiveness he carried throughout his illustrious career. Calling out the Buccs vs Eagles clash from Tampa Bay, Brady seemingly took a dig towards Baker Mayfield’s stress comments, building up to the clash.

And since that reaction, Brady’s former wife, Gisele Bundchen, might have offered a cryptic response as she spoke about mental health awareness on her Instagram story. Was this a dig towards her former husband, or was it just a casual answer to her fans’ question? Well, we don’t know, but Brady did boast about the Super Bowl rings he carries.

Replying to Mayfield’s cultural dig when Brady was there leading the Buccs out, the seven-time Super Bowl Champion said, “I thought stressful was not having Super Bowl rings. There was a mindset of a champion I took to work every day. This wasn’t daycare. If I wanted to have fun, I was going to Disneyland with my kids.” Going through Brady’s response, it doesn’t look like the former Buccs have taken the 29-year-old comments the right way.

But what were those statements that got the legendary QB heated up on the broadcasting box? Well, it started off when Mayfield appeared for an interview on the Casa de Klub podcast at the beginning of this month. Their Mayfield spoke about the environment Brady had placed in Tampa Bay, “The building was a little bit different with Tom there. Obviously, playing-wise, Tom is different. He had everybody dialed in, high-strung environment, so I think everybody was pretty stressed out.”

After finding himself being criticised for his plays in Tampa Bay, Brady gave a prompt reply, “There’s a way to approach this game and it’s with the right mindset to push each other outside of our comfort zone, and great teammates do that.” Brady’s time was hugely successful for the Buccaneers as he racked up 43 passing TDs and 5,316 passing yards to help his team win their second-ever Super Bowl title. However, since that heated reply from the seven-time Super Bowl champion, Baker Mayfield offered his update on the situation.

Baker Mayfield’s reply to Tom Brady’s dig at his stressful comments

After a scintillating performance for the Buccaneers, that saw him complete 30-of-47 passes with two TDs and no interceptions. Mayfield ensured he addressed the controversy that was brewing while he made plays in Raymond James Stadium, “I think a lot of that got taken out of context, and none of it was personal by any means. It’s just what he demanded of the guys, and that’s the aura of Tom Brady. And that’s what he did to bring a championship here.”

Although Mayfield was quick to settle down a rift between the two, he did speak about the praises Brady shares with Tampa Bay players, “Talking before the game, he obviously happy for me, and he knows the guys, so he knows how much I enjoy throwing to Mike Evans and Chris Godwin because he got to do the same.” Well, speaking about his love for throwing it to Evans, the Buccs WR finished his day with eight receptions for 94 yards.
