Is Daniel Jones' team-first attitude enough to lead the Giants to victory despite past benchings?

It appears that the Giants have not resolved their starter quarterback issue. The team gave Drew Lock a shot as the starting quarterback, but it appears they were dissatisfied. Because of all this, head coach Brian Daboll has revealed his new choice for the starting quarterback. They want Daniel Jones to stay in this role after benching him for a game. But won’t he be upset with being benched?

Well, looks like being upset is not the case with Daniel Jones. As was clear from his locker room interview, where the quarterback was asked about the HC juggling between him and Lock. The man chose to give a strong response: “It’s his team. Up to him to make those decisions. Obviously, I believe in myself and believe in this offense. I’m just going to focus on myself.”

Jones believes that his own performance is less important than the team’s success. This demonstrates what sort of team player he is and what he can accomplish to help the Giants qualify.

Many fans have reacted positively to the shift because they understand Daniel Jones’ potential. Furthermore, this decision is also supported because of Drew Lock’s horrible first impression. Why don’t we discuss the performance of both quarterbacks?

Daniel Jones is far better than Drew Lock?

Obviously, this is not a fair comparison because Jones has played seven games this season and Lock has only played one. But what have they done in the games, and what is their success percentage? When all of these factors are considered, we have a clear winner amongst the two quarterbacks.

Is Daniel Jones' team-first attitude enough to lead the Giants to victory despite past benchings?

Have an interesting take?

Some of you might have already guessed that Jones will be the obvious winner. And well, that guess is right, since the man is in a league of his own.

Daniel Jones: In seven appearances, the guy attempted 240 passes and completed 150 of them, for 1,442 yards. This results in a 62.5% completion rate, an average of 6, and 4 touchdowns. Of these passes, 41 were long ones, which is astounding.

Drew Lock: In one appearance, the guy attempted eight throws, only three of which were successful. All the passes were for 6 yards, resulting in a completion rate of 37.5%, which is not very good.

Lock’s stats are also only for one game, which suggests that his true potential has yet to be discovered by the NFL world. But for now, it’s evident that Daniel Jones will be the starter QB going forward.
