Justin Fields caused a frenzy when he unfollowed the Chicago Bears. While people were making up scenarios about why the QB did what he did, he debunked all the rumors. It was plain and straightforward; things were getting overwhelming for Justin Fields. He was tired of seeing NFL and Chicago Bears posts daily, so he unfollowed both for mental peace.
The news got to Unc and Ocho, and they discussed it on their podcast, Nightcap. For Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson, things are straightforward. Justin Fields should have adhered to the “if you want it, go get it” mentality in the first place. He reacted to the QB’s conversation with Amon-Ra St. Brown, revealing his reasons for not following both those entities.

After watching the clip, Sharpe started kissing his teeth because things were too obvious. There was only one way to deal with the problem. Fields could have just quit the app. “Ocho, if you’re tired of seeing something on social media, guess what you do? Get you’re a** off social media!” said Shannon Sharpe about Fields’ justification.
Ocho then intervened and said this might be Justin Fields’ way to sugarcoat his words. It’s logical not to take jabs at the organization you work for in public. The ex-Bengals WR mentioned his concerns might be legit because the Bears are trying to draft Caleb Williams.
“You’re sick of this sh*t, you unfollow them you already know what time it is. You know how to game goes, you been in the league long enough, and you know how they like to play. It is what it is,” said Ocho, trying to sell a different side of the coin.
But the question is, why would the Bears not take advantage if the opportunity presents itself?
The Bears are not taking any chances
The Chicago team has the first pick in the upcoming draft, and Caleb Williams is the most sought-after prospect in this class of quarterbacks. It might not be possible for the Bears to give Williams the starting position upon joining, so the probability of Fields sticking with the Bears can’t be ignored.
The @ChicagoBears decision with Justin Fields will have a DOMINO EFFECT on the QB movement this offseason. Draft Caleb Williams and trade Fields where? Keep Fields and trade the 1st Pick, who gives them a kings ransom for it? The Bears SHOULD trade the 1st pick and cut the drama. pic.twitter.com/UdZPYUl7TZ

Maybe Justin Fields is being smart and keeping it hush for the moment to secure his present and future. The Bears have been struggling the whole season, and despite Fields being a decent quarterback, he amassed only 2,500+ yards and 9 TDs, which is not a lot.
“I just want it to be over,” he said in a conversation with Amon-Ra St. Brown and added, “Just let me know if I’m getting traded, let me know if I’m staying.”

No one seems at fault here. On one hand, the Bears are trying to make the best possible decisions; on the other, Fields is trying to protect himself. Should the Bears pick Caleb Williams? What do you think?
