The Kansas City Chiefs lost to the Denver Broncos and the 24-9 defeat was not short of embarrassing for Patrick Mahomes’ squad. But coach Andy Reid let bygones be bygones and is concentrating on the next game against the Miami Dolphins, which is not happening on American soil. Rather, the game is taking place in the Deutsche Park Stadium in Frankfurt, Germany. While that is yet to happen, Andy Reid shed some light on the areas of concern ahead of this battle.
Throughout the years, the NFL has left no stone unturned when it came to exposing the game beyond international borders. They have been successful at organizing some games in London. However now, Coach Reid and the Chiefs are all set to fly all the way down to Deutschland.

With the Broncos game behind him, Coach Reid was asked how excited he was for the game in Germany, and of course, the challenges that come with it. Coach mentioned that it is a longer plane flight and brought up the issue of the changes in the time zone. The jetlag might be nasty for both teams, but the Coach is trying to make sure that the team gets there well before time. They have to rest as well to fight the fastest offense in the league.
?It?s a different time zone by quite a few hours so you got to make sure that you handle that part and get some rest on the plane,? Mentioned Coach Reid.
Andy Reid mentions how he and the team have taken everything under consideration. From hydration to practice tactics, the KC Chiefs? coach has got everything under control. The team will leave the USA on Thursday after sorting out some prerequisites. Again, Coach Reid laid emphasis on saving enough time to practice in Germany. A few hours of delay means is a big deal as it comes with fatigue. The time difference between the USA and Germany is 5-6 hours give or take depending on where you are located in the USA.
The game starts at 8:30 a.m. CDT. ?It?s a bit different that way, but there is some excitement too? , coach Reid said with enthusiasm. Hopefully, Patrick Mahomes will return in prime health to play Tua Tagovailoa and the squad after the nasty flu he contracted.

The news came out before the Broncos game when the Chiefs issued a PSA saying that Mahomes might not play against the Broncos because of his flu. Apparently, he also got an IV treatment since the last two days before the game. Later on, Dianna Russini confirmed that Mahomes would be taking part in the game. But the game had its own ups and downs for the Chiefs.
This was the first loss that Patrick Mahomes ever faced in his career against the Denver Broncos. He came out with dismal numbers and possibly the most sub-par performance of the 2023 season. Add to that, Denver?s weather did not favor Mahomes? ailing body at all. The Chiefs’ 24-9 defeat against the Broncos is arguably the biggest shock of the NFL season so far.

Hopefully, they don?t repeat the same mistake against the Dolphins because they might not give the Chiefs a chance to bounce back.
