The San Francisco 49ers tight end received a sentimental gift from an Army veteran. This gift stands as a recognition of George Kittle’s kindness and work towards the military group.
Before the Jacksonville Jaguars matchup, the 30-year-old Niners TE got a message of thanks for all the work he has done for the army. And in return, he too surprised the veteran with a kind gesture.

The 49ers official Twitter account shared a heartfelt incident that left all the spectators in awe. Before the Jaguars game, Army veteran Chris Kleinsorge gave George Kittle the uniform he wore in Afghanistan as a token of gratitude for Kittle’s efforts in support of #SaluteToService.

The message written on the uniform reads, “To George Kittle, as the 49ers salute to the service nominee, on behalf of all military veterans, I want to thank you for all you have done to help my fellow brothers and sisters in arms.” In return, Kittle invited Kleinsorge to the game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and 49ers at Levi’s Stadium and surprised him with a signed game jersey.

George Kittle consistently honors service members and supports military causes. In 2018, he recognized the Pat Tillman Foundation, followed by the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors, from 2019 to 2021 and Merging Vets & Players in 2022 through the My Cause My Cleats initiative.
Kittle has demonstrated his commitment by purchasing over 150 tickets for the National Guard in the 2021 season. This family-man at heart also donated over $10,000 to Operations Freedom Paws, a nonprofit initiative to connect service dogs to individuals with disability and veterans.

Furthermore, his efforts were acknowledged by We Are The Mighty, earning him a spot on their Mighty 25 List of 2023.
