George complimented her helmet, and the two started talking. Later, the couple was spontaneous enough that they decided to elope, which Claire fondly recalls as “cool.”

“We pulled the trigger and planned this wedding in a week,” she shared on her blog, encapsulating the essence of their whirlwind romance. Of course, this journey began at the University of Iowa. Their paths intertwined, from college sweethearts to life partners, culminating in an intimate wedding ceremony in April 2019, officiated by George’s father. Initially, Claire used to be a basketball player and is now thriving as a blogger and traveler.

They also have a dog, a Bernedoodle, Deenie. Claire often writes about George on her social media. “G you are a constant inspiration to me & everyone around you,” she once wrote in an Instagram post.
