Maddie and Gable have known each other since 2015 and officially went public with their relationship in October 2021. They made their relationship “Facebook official“ on October 15, 2021. Their love story started when they were teenagers. According to a post by Mitchell in 2022, they began dating long-distance in 2016. “The 15-year-old boy who had me FaceTiming all hours of the day, matured into the man that would have my heart today,“ she wrote. Mitchell expressed how she witnessed Gable’s growth both in his athletic career and personal life over the years.

She recalled the challenges of their long-distance relationship, making 10-hour round trips every other week to see each other. The couple currently lives in Minnesota and shares their home with two French bulldogs, Stitch and Rocco.
